Senior ETL Lead – Informatica

Location – Portland, OR

Duration; 6 months

Rate: $45/hr

 

Job Description:

This position will provide Data Warehouse ETL design and development solutions using Informatica and Oracle technology.  Participate in designing, developing/unit testing, and delivering large scale multi-terabyte Data Warehousing solutions. Position will work closely with the ETL Lead, DBA, QA, and other KPIT groups. We are looking for an individual with good technical and good communication abilities for this challenging position. Primary responsibilities include:

·         Creating high performance and highly scalable ETL designs

·         Establishing and implementing ETL best practices and guidelines

·         Building the ETL process to meet product/project specific requirements

·         Creating test plans and unit test cases

·         Provide User Acceptance Testing support for the ETL process

·         Deploy ETL Process in production

·         Provide production support for the data mart environment

·         Create and maintain Technical Design document, ETL Mappings and Production Support & Administration document

Required Qualifications and Skills:

·         Minimum of 10 years of design and development experience in IT

·         7+ years dedicated ETL design/development using Informatica ETL solutions

·         Very good knowledge of Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting etc.

·         BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required

·         Design, implement, and develop ETL processes against high-volume and complex data sources

·         Extensive experience in estimating work efforts for complex projects

·         Perform Quality Assurance, unit and system testing as well as complete documentation of deliverables

·         Experience designing, documenting ETL and performance tuning

·         Solid communication, documentation, and project/task management skills

·         Able to trouble shoot and create customized jobs

·         Experience with data cleansing and data quality processes

·         Scope, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects

·         Provides primary level support overall to systems and teams as necessary to ensure proper and efficient use of systems

·         Ability to analyze and design methodologies for full system development life cycles. Ability to analyze and design data conversions and integration tools, processes, and practices
