The project team wants to see candidates with emphasis on experience & expertise in support, defining the processes, defining SLAs etc apart from the technical skills in OBIEE, ETL. Really looking for an onsite manager.

 

ROLE: OBIEE Reporting, Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•           Should have prior experience in managing / delivering AMS engagements. Should be able to interact with client IT / Business for SLAs, manage expectations, and address issues & risks.

•           Should be able to Understand the business process and the technical solution (OBIEE reporting solution) implemented to address the business needs

•           Should have good knowledge of OBIEE as a tool, with more emphasis on troubleshooting, debugging and performance improvement tasks

•           Should be able to gain knowledge of people (users), processes, environment (software & hardware) and tools required to effectively perform support tasks

•           Should have good written and oral communication skills to communicate with the business to resolve support tickets

•           Should have good knowledge of database and exposure to perform tasks such as authoring queries, stored procedures etc as required in the project

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

•           Should have 8+ years' hands on experience on OBIEE reporting including latest version – 10g & 11g. Must be proficient with OBIEE, OBIEE+, BI Publisher and Smartview in 11g version.

 

•           Should have experience in handling / delivering large Application Management Services engagements including exposure to various AMS process, SLA definition and management.

 

•           Should have extensive client facing experience and working with teams spread across geographies.

 

OBIEE Primary Skills:

RPD

•           Should be able to Design, Build, Customize Oracle BI Repository and Oracle BI Presentation/Webcat

•           Should have experience in working in Multi User Development (MUD) Environment

•           Should be able to set up security at various levels

•           Should be able to perform Admin activities such as maintain, manage and enhance repositories – Configure Oracle BI to support multi lingual environments etc

•           Should be able to tune the query and report performance using various techniques such as cache management

•           Should have experience in perform patch Merge in a development to test to production migration scenario

•           Should have experience in enabling additional features such as Usage tracking

 

Dashboard & Analysis

•           Should have experience in creating and modifying dashboards

•           Should have experience in creating complex reports

•           Should be able to perform configuration tasks such as, configuring Delivers.

•           Should be able to perform admin tasks related to development and configuration of dashboards

•           Experience or knowledge of other products such as BI Publisher,  Oracle BI for Microsoft office etc, would be added advantage

•           Experience / knowledge of OBIA apps, DAC 10x would be added advantage.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

•           Must be able to lead team independently with strong team player attitude.

•           Must be able to estimate the assigned effort /In-scope project deliverables.

•           Should attend and actively participate in project status meeting with team lead/manager/client.

•           Must be able to identify project risks and work with PM to document, evaluate, assess, and respond to the risks.

•           Should lead defect triage calls and clearly communicate the defects/issues.

 

SOFT SKILLS:

•           Should have excellent problem solving, and is able to work effectively in a less structured environment and manage his/her own time.

•           Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating architecture and design principles.

•           Should be able to coordinate with onsite/ functional/development teams independently.

•           Should have good team management skills.

•           Dynamic with a strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude.
