Location: Saint Louis, MO or Long Island, NY

Duration:  6 Months

Job Description:

This is the hottest, highest margin position I have.. Please send candidates that are local to the two areas.. Saint Louis is there N1 location for this position.. Commack,NY (long Island) will work as well. Please do not send candidates outside of those two areas… No H-1's for this…. This is a high level Manager over all of networking for a large Pharmaceutical Corp.. Pharmaceutical experience would be a big plus!!

I. POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager – Network Communications is responsible for technical solution designs required by the organization in support of network infrastructure and unified communications solutions. The person will manage a team of technology expert designers in accomplishing this role. The functional technologies include Network WAN /LAN, Load Balancing, VPN, Unified Communications, Videoconferencing, and several appliance solutions. This position will lead a group of approximately 10 - 15 solution design experts and will focus on utilizing Corp's Service Strategy to develop end-to-end services based on documented business requirements, producing high quality, efficient, cost effective, secure, and resilient solutions.

II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure Infrastructure Service Designs are produced to meet and fulfill the documented business requirements, technology architecture and Infrastructure Service Strategies. 2. Participate in the Corp's Architecture process as Service Design subject matter expert 3. Produce and maintain all aspects of IT specification, including the overall designs, topologies and configurations of the infrastructure environment, infrastructure applications and data, and the technical design documentation of all IT systems. 4. Translate solution requirements into logical designs and into physical designs, taking account of business needs, target environments, processes, performance requirements, existing systems, architecture and services, and any potential safety-related aspects. 5. Ensure that the design of all processes, roles, responsibilities and documentation supporting Service Design is regularly reviewed and audited for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance. 6. Design measurement systems and techniques to support the continual improvement of Service Design and all supporting processes. 7. Measure and manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the Service Design Process and initiate improvement activities as needed. 8. Work with Capacity Management function to review utilization of available capacity versus requirements, identifying trends and levels of service. 9. Assume full responsibility for the design, planning and coordination of Informatics Infrastructure systems and services, including investigation, analysis, specification, design. Coordinates development and testing, and for collaborating with other Infrastructure areas that should be involved. 10. Obtain and evaluate proposals from suppliers of equipment, software, and services ensuring that all business and IT requirements are fulfilled. 11. Work with IT Designers to ensure collaboration with Architects and overall plans and strategies are developed in conjunction with IT design for all areas of IT. 12. Identify suitable applications, services and products, together with their environments, to meet solution needs within the required planning timeframe. 13. Support the monitoring and reporting of actual IT availability achieved against Service Level Agreement targets. 14. Support the creation and ongoing review of the designs of all new or changed services, SLA's, OLA's and contracts.
