Security Engineer (CISSP).

Security Engineer for a 6+ month contract in Downtown Houston , TX.

 

Description

Incumbent will be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting perimeter security devices within an organization and between organizations.

Goal is to ensure the smooth operation of perimeter security device in order to provide maximum performance, protection, and availability for users.

 

Responsibilities

Ability to configure and troubleshoot IDS, IPS, firewalls, VPN, and Internet Proxy systems Build and support security related infrastructure systems Assist or lead various security related projects Maintain and administer perimeter security standards, documentation, processes and procedures.

Monitor alarms of perimeter security systems Work with Global team concerning perimeter security and related LAN and WAN issues.

Limited traveling is required

Participate on-call rotation is required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2-4 years of relevant experience or 4-6 years of equivalent experience.

Required Experience with Microsoft TMG and ISA systems Required Experience with Citrix Access Gateway / Citrix Netscaler Experience with Juniper SSL VPN system Experience Check Point firewalls Experience with Juniper firewalls Experience with Juniper NSM Experience with IBM / Proventia IDS and IPS systems Experience with site to site VPN tunnels Experience Monitoring tools (SolarWinds Orion and Microsoft SCOM) Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Knowledge of security and networking architecture Excellent skills with documentation standards and diagramming Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required Experience with Cisco ACS Strong working knowledge of DHCP, and DNS utilities IP subnetting TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, NAT, VLANs, Inter-VLAN Routing Sniffer software

 

Required Experience with Microsoft TMG and ISA systems

 

Required Experience with Citrix Access Gateway / Citrix Netscaler

 

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred

 

Role is 100% onsite in Houston.

 

Rate is open to negotiation.
