NEED DRUPAL DEVELOPER

Location: District of Columbia/Washington
Duration: 6+ Months

Required Skills

All skills must be demonstrable and referencable; please include sites and URLs if possible:

·       Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 installation, configuration, and ongoing update, ideally using the Acquia Repository Update and Maintenance technique in a Linux environment

·       Migration from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, including knowledge of key issues, critical module incompatibilities and workarounds.

·       Theming experience, including theme modification, theme issues, and theme migration from V6 to V7

·       Advanced Acquia Drupal administration skills including Drupal core update capabilities, module evaluation and selection, module installation and maintenance, module patching, taxonomy development, security modeling and implementation, ongoing site process and operations and Drupal performance optimization.

·       Basic Drupal integration and API capabilities including standard integrations such as Google Analytics and basic REST-based API development

·       Skills and experience with advanced Acquia managed SOLR search capabilities including integration with the Acquia managed search offering, advanced configuration, maintenance, enhancement and knowledge of limitations.

·       Basic Drupal development skills, including module patching and modification and basic module development

·       Drupal-relevant MySQL skills including database configuration and administration, database backup strategies, and business continuity recovery techniques.

·       Drupal-relevant operating skills including working knowledge of Linux utilities and bash scripting environment, installation techniques, integration with Apache and MySQL, web security provisioning and overall backup and recovery strategies. Knowledge of Windows-based equivalents a plus.

Desired Skills

·       Advanced Drupal development capabilities including module creation, module migration, advanced PHP capabilities and advanced knowledge of relevant database structures

·       Basic visual design and usability skills for theming

·       Participation in module development as a recognized module code contributor

·       Advanced Drupal API development including PHP-based and potentially other API techniques involving SOAP, JSON exchange, etc.

·       Experience with core semantic web concepts, OntoWiki, and semantic extensions and capabilities of Drupal 7

·       Advanced Linux scripting skills, including and especially bash scripting and advanced Apache and MySQL configuration.

·       Advanced Windows scripting skills, including and especially PowerShell task automation.
