Web Application Programmer, Entry Level – Tallahassee, FL (6+ months)

Start Date- January 20, 2012

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Preferred:

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ø  Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff.

Ø  Experience with health applications.

Ø  Knowledge of Agile software development, project management and testing practices.

Required:

  Ø  If applicable, ability to report for emergency duty is required as part of your position. 

Ø  Demonstrated experience with the development of web based applications in an Intersystem's Cache environment, using .Net or Java.

Ø  Demonstrated experience with object-oriented techniques.

Ø  Demonstrated experience SQL programming.

Ø  Demonstrated experience using HTML.

Ø  Demonstrated experience using JavaScript.

Ø  Experience with formal software testing.

Ø  Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.

 

Section IV - Education/Experience:

 

Ø  2 + years direct experience developing web-based applications in Intersystem's Cache, using .Net, or Java.

Ø  2+ years direct experience with object-oriented development techniques.

 

Section V – Tasks:

 

Ø  Produce Intersystem's Cache application code to meet user-defined requirements. 

Ø  Document Intersystem's Cache application code.  

Ø  Provide analytical services to implement user defined requirements. 

Ø  Provide analytical services to identify operational efficiencies. 

Ø  Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.

Ø  Provide work estimates for Release Planning and Sprint Planning to implement user-defined requirements. 

Ø  Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements.

Ø  Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff. 

Ø  Participate in Daily Stand-up meetings to give daily progress reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements. 

Ø  Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks for a specific time period.  All timesheets must be confirmed and approved by the Contract manager, prior to payment. 

Ø  Follow client processes and coordinate with other client IT Staff to ensure compliance with client  standard. 

Ø  Provide analytical services on client  IT processes to identify operational efficiencies. 

Ø  Document client  IT processes.

6.1                Deliver Code to perform system functions as defined in user requirements.

a.       Modified Cache Server Pages.

b.       Modified Object Script.

c.        Modified HTML.

d.       Modified Javascript.

e.        Modified Zen Pages.

f.        Modified "rules" (csr) files.

g.        Modified code table entries.

h.       Modified menu items

i.         Modified utilities to be executed

 

6.2                Documentation recording system technical objects,

business requirements, business processes, and system processes.

a.       Documented Cache Server Pages.

b.       Documented Object Script.

c.        Documented HTML.

d.       Documented Javascript.

e.        Documented Zen Pages.

 

6.3                Process tickets to correct system errors or 

         implement user-defined requirements.   

a.       Analytical services for system incidents and enhancements.

b.       Processed incident tickets to correct system errors.

c.        Processed release tickets to manage user requirements.

d.       Processed change tickets to implement system changes.

 

6.4                Test code created to satisfy system fixes or user defined requirements.     

a.       Tested application code.

b.       Tested database code objects.

c.        Tested database design objects.

d.       Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business office staff.

 

6.5                Provide managerial activities, reports, and analytical research.     

a.       Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (scheduling meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items).

b.       Complete work estimates for system changes.

c.        Participate in Daily stand-ups to report status of work completed yesterday and work that will be done today.

d.       Document detailed accounting of work hours by tasks.

e.        Follows client  IT processes and coordinates with other client  IT Staff to ensure compliance with client standards.

f.        Complete analytical research to satisfy queries requests
