Need Sr. .Net developer

Role:- Sr. .Net developer

Location:- MI

Duration:-1 year.

Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems: Evaluates user request for new or modified program, such as for financial or human resource management system, clinical research trial results, statistical study of traffic patterns, or analyzing and developing specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. Consults with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using structured analysis and design. Submits plans to user for approval. Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow and to describe logical operations involved. Designs computer terminal screen displays to accomplish goals of user request. Converts project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language processable by computer, applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer languages. Enters program codes into computer system. Enters commands into computer to run and test program. Reads computer printouts or observes display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during program test, or uses diagnostic software to detect errors. Replaces, deletes, or modifies codes to correct errors. Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Assists users to solve operating problems. Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrites program to correct errors. May use computer-aided software tools, such as flowchart design and code generation, in each stage of system development. May train users to use program. May oversee installation of hardware and software. May provide technical assistance to program users. May install and test program at user site. May monitor performance of program after implementation. May specialize in developing programs for business or technical applications.

 

Programmer-Analyst capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

The candidate will be scored on the following REQUIRED skills:

1.    Minimum 8 years of analysis, design, programming, testing, implementing and supporting web based applications in Microsoft/Windows platform. (must have worked on at least 3 full SDLC projects)

2.    Minimum 5 years in designing, developing, and implementation of web applications (using ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML).

3.    Minimum 5 years of application development using the Microsoft C#.NET and ASP.NET programming language. 

4.    Minimum 2 years with .NET Framework 3.5.

5.    Minimum 5 years in developing systems with Microsoft SQL Server, of which at least on year is SQL Server 2008.

6.    Minimum 3 years in writing Structured Query Language (SQL) and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL 2005 or higher.

7.    Minimum 3 years in writing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.

8.    Minimum 5 years in developing reports with a report development/authoring tool.

9.    Minimum 5 years in performing analysis and requirements gathering with customers and documenting. 

10.  Minimum 3 years in creating test files to test validity of system data and validate the functional requirements of a system.

11.  Minimum 3 years in development of test plans and components, and conducting unit, system and user acceptance testing.

12.  Knowledge/Training in XML, ADO.Net, SMTP, SOAP, Windows Services, HTTP/HTTPS.

13.  Knowledge of systems development methodology utilized in the development of new systems and enhancements, UML, configuration management, standard software lifecycle processes, structured programming methodology, relational database, support utilities, personal computers and personal computer software. 

14.  Good oral and written communication skills, and ability to organize and present information.

15.  Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines and diagnose and resolve complex problems quickly.

16.  Ability to recognize, gather, and assemble facts; then design, test and implement queries and reports.

17.  Ability to analyze and evaluate a variety of data.

18.  Ability to exercise independent judgment.

19.  Ability to prepare detailed instructions and documentation.

20.  Ability to keep customers and team members informed and respond to customer requests in a timely manner with positive communications.

21.  Ability to show respect to all team members, actively contribute in team meetings and share information.

22.  Ability to be organized, creative, adaptable to changing priorities, and dedicated to the responsibilities of the position.

23.  Ability to establish and maintain effective, trusted relationships with clients and matrix support teams and treat others fairly. 

 

Desired Skills

1.    Ability to conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations.

2.    Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

3.    Experience developing reports with Microsoft Reporting Services, of which at least one year is Reporting Services 2005 or higher.

4.    Experience developing reports with Active PDF toolkit.
