Job Description:-
Join security master technology team as senior developer/quantitative engineer to support SIG security master and EOD pricing needs.
As a senior developer/lead will evaluate complex business requirements, prepare and provide technical solution and prototypes for full life cycle of projects.
In this role, the individual will participate in a wide variety of product management initiatives and will lead complex analyses gathering large-scale data from multiple system platforms of various product groups, modeling critical business process, linking and optimizing the workflow of related system in order to answer critical business questions to assist key strategic decisions.
Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
Supports and maintains current applications by providing expert technical advice, debug and trouble shoot production issues and responds rapidly to such events.
Provides leadership and direction to ensure timely delivery of projects and less experience developers on team.
Qualifications:-
• Must have minimum 7+ years of technology discipline development experience or in combination with research experience in analytical fields, finance related.
• Must have hands on working experience with Java, Sybase database, SQL, UNIX shell scripting (PERL) and Autosys with 5-7 years of experience in building large and complex financial systems.
• Must have good understanding of software version control and have experience in working with version control tools including VSS, CVS
• Must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and have skills to lead and direct technical challenges
• Successful candidates will have business side knowledge/experience with Fixed Income/Trading / Equities. Secondary to Fixed Income would experience with Derivatives or Bonds.
• Extensive product knowledge is big plus in the following product groups: MBS (profound knowledge about TBA is a requirement), Agency CMO, and Agency Pools, structured products, municipal bonds, municipal derivatives, government bonds, equities, options and rates products.
• Master degree or above is preferred.
