Location: Gwynn Oak, MD
Rate: $38-40/Hr corp to corp
The JAVA Developer will demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting complex enterprise level applications and other system software using a strong working knowledge of JAVA Development of applications, relational database concepts, and superior oral and written communications skills to effectively convey progress, issues, reports, and other customer deliverables with clarity and value.
Skills Requirements:
· 5+ years IT Software development experience in JAVA Strong background in Java developing J2EE applications in a UNIX, Windows or Mainframe environment Knowledge of Electronic Document Management and/or Records Management Systems MKS 2007 or 2009 (or Experience and understanding of any Source Control Software)
· Ability to Develop and Maintain multiple applications simultaneously Experiencing developing JAVA applications interfacing with DB2 using SQL. Experience developing JAVA applications that interface with IBM Content Manager
· Experience developing JAVA applications using Document imaging/conversion tools such as Lead Tools, Snowbound etc.
· Experience with XML processing such as XSD, XPath, XSL, XSLT, etc.
· Experience with Assistive technologies (Magic, JAWS etc)
· Experience using AWT/Swing Experience working with IBM Rapid Application Developer and Web Sphere Application server Strong relational database experience – DB2
· Knowledge of Internet Explorer 7 and/or 8 Knowledge of Spring framework Windows Operating System Workstation (VISTA, Windows7)
· Ability to create and maintain technical documentation of architecture, high and low level design documents for applications development.
· Demonstrated technical leadership skills coupled with exceptional strategic and critical thinking skills. Superior communication skills to articulate and present ideas and concepts effectively Exceptional and proven problem solving skills.
· Ability to Evaluate and Analyze Systems Requirements Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems Self managed with the ability to coach and mentor others.
· Actively participates in design initiatives, design meetings, architectural review, and code reviews. Designs, develops, integrates, and deploys architectural and programming solutions, with adherence to SSA standards, plans, and specifications.
· Designs, develops, integrates enterprise solutions, applying reverse-engineering and reengineering disciplines to develop strategic solutions. Section 508 Experience Ability to independently and rapidly learn new technology, as needed
· Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Project Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Java related certification a plus.
