Job description:

·     The resource will report into the office of the Director of Quality Assurance. 

·     The candidate is responsible for working as part of the Quality Assurance Team assisting with testing AP Mobile applications. 

·     The candidate will work directly under the tutelage of a lead QA Engineer, testing Mobile applications, reporting and managing defects, assisting development with isolation and debugging problems, and automating functionality as required

·     Good understanding of software lifecycle processes

·     Mobile device testing (Android, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry)

·     Jira

·     Java

·     .Net technology

·     Automation tools such as Fiddler, Selenium

·     Media (audio/video) validation

·     Good understanding of working applications developed for touch screen phones

·     Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

 Candidate background or experience:

·     The candidate should have development and testing skills, and working familiarity with Microsoft or Solaris technologies.

·     Candidates must have familiarity with:  testing mobile devices (Android, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Windows Mobile 7); 3G and 4G bearers, knowledge about test tools, i.e. Fiddler, Selenium; handset features like SMS/MMS; OS platforms; working familiarity with Microsoft or Solaris technologies;  experience with some of the following technologies is preferred: C# experience,.NET experience, XML, XSLT, XSD, HTML, RSS

·     The candidate needs previous experience with SLDC, development of test plans and test cases; applying testing skills towards test automation; assessing appropriateness of test case automation as a function of automation complexity versus benefits; coding automation tests using C# and utilities using XML; evaluating automation tests and results; agile methodologies, Jira, metrics reporting
