JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Job Title      : Software Test Engineer

Location      : Simsbury, CT

Duration     : 12 months contract

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•        Development and or automation of test procedures to produce efficient, repeatable, and reliable test results.

•        Development of manual test procedures for use as training documentation and as input to GUI test automation efforts.

•        Monitoring/Analyzing field test sites for correct operation of new software/hardware features.

•        Provide specialist support to tech support/field to help troubleshoot field problems.

 

Background and Skills:

 

•        Minimum 5 years software test experience

•        Knowledge of Agile or Scrum software development methodology

•        Expertise in software testing techniques

•        Knowledge of scripting languages or high level programming languages

•        Knowledge of automated test tools (Squish, Mercury, QARun, LoadRunner, etc.)

•        Ability to produce quality technical documents

•        Two year or higher technical degree or equivalent experience

•        Knowledge of PC software and hardware

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

•        BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

•        Experience with Linux environment

•        Experience with scripting languages or high level programming language
