Relevant Experience: At least 6 Years
Technical/Functional Skills:
Solaris / HP-Unix / Linux Administration
Experience in Solaris volume management
Excellent troubleshooting skill on Unix operating system
Experience in VERITAS volume management
Experience in VERITAS Cluster
Knowledge on Backup / Storage technology
Experience in end to end implementation of new environments
Good Exposure to UNIX clusters
Exposure to various backup software
Exposure on datacenter management activities
Should be have experience on handling Server build on Linux / Solaris
Candidate should have capability of handling L1/L2 Support for Unix / Storage and L1 touch support for windows
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with client and understand the requirements
Handle Escalations from Team and Customer
Assist team in crisis situation and provide quick solution to critical issues
Design implementation strategy and document
Enable monitoring, backup and provide transition to existing offshore team
Direct communication with client
Tape rotation and Media handling on the backup environment
Datacenter services such racking servers / cabling
