( Need Locals) Duration: 12+Months Experience: 7+ Years Description: Under the direction of NYC Department of Education management, major responsibilities include performing business analysis, design, programming and testing activities for the development, maintenance and enhancements of the different components of the NYCAPS/Galaxy/Payroll initiative. This will entail: Minimum of 4 years experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, programming, system testing, technical and user documentation, software conversions available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions. The minimum core competencies required for this position are: · At least 3-5 years programming · Strong object oriented programming and design · Strong C# 3.0 and ASP.NET 3.5 programming experience · Strong experience with SQL (e.g. ADO.NET) · Experience with XML and Web Services · Good knowledge of .NET 3.5 · Experience working with ASP.NET Ajax and Ajax Toolkit · Awareness of cutting-edge and emerging web interface technologies (e.g. Web 2.0 technologies) · Computer Science or related degree · Public sector experience with Financial applications (Payroll) (Highly Desired) · Some exposure to the following: · Unit testing (e.g. nUnit/MSTest or similar tool) · Design patterns (e.g. Abstract Factory, Factory Method, Singleton, etc…) · Team Foundation Server 2010 · Experience working on an agile team Skills: ASP.NET, C#, SQL, XML Thanks & Regards, Chandhu.
