Position: Network Engineer

Location: Jersey City or Somerset, NJ

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

 

We are looking for 2 Network Engineers to assist with several internal and external projects. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate Configure, tests, and document new LAN/WAN equipment.
• Strong large scale WAN deployment with multi provider/ very complex BGP configurations skills required.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves extremely complex legacy network problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
• Windows and Linux systems experience is a must.
• Cisco Nexus implementation and integration with legacy 6500 configurations

 

Required Qualifications:

• Expert experience implementing and administrating Cisco 6500/Nexus network devices.
• Firewalls - Cisco Pix, ASA.
• Load Balancing Hardware - Cisco CSS/CSM model, Netscaler and Zeus

 

Demonstrable expert level of competence including:

• A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking -An expert level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
• Expert knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities -Troubleshooting focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems, and patterned vs. non-repeatable problems
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Have ability to provide documented deliverables against project plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current CCNP, CCIE preferred but not necessary
