Sr. Microsoft Commerce Server Developer
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description/Skills Required: The client has implemented Commerce Server with MOSS 07 as its customer facing solution. The project was a multimillion $ project and now they need to make enhancements to the commerce server area. Modifications identified include: Commerce Catalog Enhancements
1. Import/export utility for mass updating of products.
2. Ability to drag and drop products from one category to another.
3. Updating of Custom fields needs to trigger virtual catalog rebuild.
4. Product Picker should display the primary key I product key
5. Search should search by product id in the product picker
6. Product Picker needs larger default window with columns sized to fit the data.
7. Relationship results need to display Product ID in the description field (automatically). 8. Ability to copy relationships from one product to another.
9. Redesign relationships so that a user can copy and paste product id and relationship types and execute the updates.
10. The rules window needs to be resizable
11. Need search for products by category, so all products in a category are returned. Should function like other searches where criteria are dynamically built.
12. Ability to search and replacing relationships. Find all relationships to a given product. Ability to update relationships based on those search results.
13. Need ability to edit the category name field (not the display name, the actual configure name)
14. Need ability to copy Category to a new category.
15. No longer automatically add exclude rules or include rules.
16. Define what fields will show up on a specified tab. So we can distinguish fields what fields are to be updated at the base vs. what is maintained at the virtual
17. Concurrent Editing of products, if a product is being edited and a related product is edited while the first one is open, an error will occur when trying to save the first product. Can this be corrected?
18. Need a better way to stage products to control which products should be deployed to production.
