Job Description:
Develop software using object oriented analysis, design, and coding with C++ that performs the function of testing other programs (firmware) that have been written for new computer hardware products still in the design phase.
Use C++ to develop enhancements to the automated test engine that continuously runs a variety of tests and provides a failure report so that bugs in the firmware can be resolved and then retested.
Develop smaller programs in C++ that are initiated by the automated test engine. These smaller programs test new or updated firmware for various models of computer hardware products that are still in R&D.
Work with the Firmware Programmers and Sr. Test Engineers to determine root-cause-analysis of any failures that are found when the test engine runs - i.e. is the problem with the firmware or with the test program itself.
Provide updates to an existing API library using C++ that provides a "translater" interface layer between the individual test programs and the automated test engine.
