Duration: 12 months Location: McLean, VA  Job Description:      Responsible for the design, development and administration of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades in Oracle 11gR2 environment, UNIX shell scripting, and physical and logical database design.  Some Oracle databases are very large, with a few Tb in size and 1000 concurrent users. Familiarity with Web Applications, weblogic preferred. Work Experience 5+ years Financial Services Experience 3+ years Experience Knowledge of other Oracle advanced features (RMAN, RAC, RAT, fail over methodologies, event tracing such as 10046 qnd 10053, FRA) Cross platform migtation of Oracle databases Database Cloning using RMAN Works independently Familiarity with other data bases, web applications and or other programming languages COF Experience - Desired but not required Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members). Looking for 3-5 years experience.  Must sit in McLean.   Will start scheduling interviews starting 10/22 (possibly 10/18 if resumes come in sooner). Must have Oracle 10g and 11g experience. Must have migration/upgrade experience on Oracle versions. Must have large enterprise environment experience, does not need to be in financial services.
			1.      Develop enterprise applications using Agile methodology. 2.      Develop and unit test frameworks and mechanisms central to building XML/SOAP-based web services. 3.      Create database objects to support components 4.      Write Unit Test Cases 5.      Contribute to Design Service Domain solutions for key business initiatives 6.      Utilize commercial off-the-shelf and open source technologies 7.      Identify functional test scenarios in line with business objectives. 8.      Support testing efforts and Support documentation efforts 9.      Understand and consume application requirements and use cases 10.  Design and document technical solution strategies and architectures fulfilling complex business requirements 11.  Interact with experts from support teams regarding the definition and application of non-functional requirements for the solution to be developed 12.  Provide input regarding the evolution of technological platforms, and contribute to the definition and evolution of appropriate technological strategies and roadmaps 13.  Develop prototype and architecture for new concepts and technology that would eventually be used by the Development teams. 14.  Provide support and mentoring to both senior- and junior-level developers distributed amongst the Development teams. 15.  Assist Operations team in optimizing and stabilizing the platform through identifying and tuning performance bottlenecks. 16.  Perform other duties as assigned
