The Project Manager manages projects utilizing project management process. Manages the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of development projects through the use of technical and/or cross-functional teams. Typical projects are <20,000 hrs of development time. Involved in moderate to high-risk projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA and 5 - 7 years relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge of customer business functions and company practices.
Understands importance/priority of project in overall business plans.
The ScrumMaster for the Infrastructure team is responsible for the successful utilization of Agile methodologies to implement solutions for our THDBS and shared services. THDBS is a proprietary web platform used by over 70 applications at our client. Using recognized Agile practices, the candidate will continually monitor and improve the development organization, people, THIDS infrastructure, processes, and tools. The candidate will work closely with product management teams, data managers, analytic consultants, technical operations staff, QA, and development managers to ensure successful delivery and support of the THDBS infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities (Specific day-to-day responsibilities and milestones needed to achieve the objectives):
- Performs full ScrumMaster ctions including facilitating development efforts, running scrums, removing obstacles, ensuring cross-collaboration when necessary, estimating, and handling requests/questions.
- ScrumMaster for 1 or more teams.
- Manages release planning and monitoring at the single-project level or multiple projects.
- Runs sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and user story grooming meetings.
- Communicates appropriately up and down the management chain.
- Continually develops strategies for improving performance of the team.
- Provides regular and ongoing coaching around objectives and priorities as well as routine and unique business requirements.
- Guides, directs and teaches less-experienced staff.
- Contributes to project proposals and RFP responses including providing estimation, resource requirements and high level solution architecture.
Required Skills and Experience (must have):
- At least 2 years of ScrumMaster experience at multiple companies.
- Deep Agile development process experience across multiple teams in a large company environment.
- Experience introducing Agile processes in organizations new to the concept.
- Proven ability to work successfully with others in different departments and locations.
- Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and effectively resolve them.
- Understands the impact of new projects on other areas and has the ability to evaluate availability of resources.
- Communicates effectively in written and oral form with less-experienced staff, peers, other executives and internal or external customers.
- Possesses excellent mentoring, leadership, time management and project management skills.
Desired Skills and Experience (nice to have:
- Web application platform experience - 2 years.
- Experience with the Healthcare application and Data Factory solutions - 2 years
- Systems Integration experience - 1 to 2 years
- Experience working with offshore teams - 1 to 2 years
- Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery Methodology – 1 year
Education/Certifications Required (Specific degrees and/or certifications required or preferred):
- Certified ScrumMaster required
- Minimum 2 years of prior leadership experience
