Oracle System Developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 6 Months Contract

 

Job Description:

 Familiarity with Oracle  eBusiness Suite application modules, including implementation experience with all modules cited above. Proven experience with configuration, set-up and implementation.

Proven experience with business requirements analysis and business process modeling/mapping.

Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to ensure requirements are understood when developing test procedures, screen shots, prototypes, interpreting test results and preparing initial software and database design.

Provides  on-going  application  support  for  reported  problems  throughout  the software development lifecycle, including maintenance, replacement and application retirement.

 Identifies   options   for   consideration   to   improve   data   flow,   security   and performance and effectiveness of software or systems.

 Applies and demonstrates knowledge of database performance, tuning and theory and data normalization rules, including referential integrity, use of stored procedures, triggers, and other advanced database design and coding techniques

Performs data analyses, reasons logically, interprets requirements and develops effective solutions to complex problems.

Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.

Knowledge of the architecture, concepts, terminology, and operational principles of computer systems, network servers and workstations.

Knowledge  of  applicable  networking  and  data  communications  technology, operating systems, procedural and command languages and utility software. Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

Works in partnership with internal and external organizations to help clients use technology integration to solve business challenges.

 Possesses a consistent history and experience working with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and assist clients and other professionals in performing information control and security engagements.

 Demonstrates ability to interface with external vendors, external  development groups, and internal development groups to support evaluation of buy vs. build decisions of software or systems critical to on-going business operations.

Ability to create systematic and manual operations procedures in both technical and user-friendly language.

Possesses a broad base of technical expertise that includes some of the following:

o Web application servers

o IBM Z/os, UNIX, NT and Windows 2000 platforms

o Relational databases (SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle)

o Application security knowledge

o Infrastructure and/ or network knowledge

o Understanding of n-tier architecture

o Experience with UML or other modeling tools

 

Formal Education & Certification

 

 College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or a related field.  Three to four years of experience in computer systems analysis and design.
