Job Description

 

Web Developer

 

In a collaborative team environment: incumbent develops software code in PHP in a LAMP stack environment, writes technical specifications; provides quality assurance testing; ensures visual and functional integrity of web applications, chief among which are:

1)     Human Resources Case Management & Service Request System ;

2)     Temporary Employment Applicant Tracking, Timekeeping and Billing System

Other duties include evaluating and recommending software; database design; quality assurance testing; and implementation, maintenance and training of content management systems; and perform other duties as assigned.

(Application code is presently hung on Expression Engine / Code Igniter / framework -- but in the scope of this position will be to assist the Web Applications & Products Manager migrate to Drupal framework. Experience with Expression Engine helpful; experience with Drupal preferred)

 

Qualifications include:

 

• 3+ years of professional coding experience in a LAMP stack environment.
• Experience building applications using jQuery, JavaScript,AJAX, PHP, HTML
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, including complex multi-table joins and correlated sub-queries.
• Ability to establish and consistently meet deadlines
• Motivation and ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision
• Willingness and ability to multitask and switch context when necessary
• Genuine interest in systems and the way they operate
• Solid capabilities in PHP (OOP and MVC Principles), HTML/CSS, Javascript (JQuery) andAJAX. Existing knowledge of Apache, MySQL and Drupal is even better.
• Advanced PHP programming skills with knowledge of Drupal Core and popular Contrib modules (e.g. Views, Features)
• Experience with Drupal theming engine a plus
• Familiarity with Expression Engine a plus
• Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
