Job Title:Portal Architech

Location:Arlington, VA

Duration: 6 months

Key Role:

Responsible for the architecture of the web presentation layer, including portal, content management, rich media management, video transcoding and search technologies. Support multiple projects in their requirements, design, development and deployment activities including project documentation.  Interface with various clients in the Federal Government, including the enterprise architecture team as SME for web presentation layer.  Research and evaluate competitive products, evolving technologies, and standards, and understand their impact on current and future products. Develop prototypes and write white papers supporting new technology initiatives. Support performance enhancement and stabilization activities for the web presentation technologies.  

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have 10+ years experience of architecture or technical leadership on Java/JEE projects.

• Must have 3+ years experience leading teams delivering production systems using Oracle WebLogic Portal, preferably version 10g r3

• Must have 5+ years experience leading teams delivering production systems using Oracle WebLogic Server, preferably including versions 10g r3 and 11g.

• Must understand SAML and WebLogic security architecture and understand how to integrate WebLogic authentication with an external access management product.

• Must have solid understand of JEE development, Web Services, XML and data persistence layer framework design and development.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have solid understanding of system performance, scalability, security, availability and operability in a clustered environment.

• Must have a track record of providing technology leadership and mentoring to a development team.

Additional Qualifications:

• Should have experience with Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest

• Should have experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server

• Should have experience with Apache Web Server and the WebLogic Apache plugin

• Should have experience with F5 BigIP

• Should have a solid understanding of the features and capabilities of web content management systems, preferably Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite v6.7.2 with 

        OpenDeploy v6.2.1, DataDeploy v6.2.1 and MetaTagger v4.1.2

• Should have a solid understanding of the features and capabilities of a rich media management solution, preferably Autonomy VirageMediaBin v4.6.2

• Should have a solid understanding of the features and capabilities of a video transcoding solution, preferably TelestreamFlipFactory.

• Should have a solid understanding of the features and capabilities of an advanced search solution, preferably Autonomy IDOL Server v4.1 and above

• Should have familiarity with Java coding standards and experience in code review and code quality control.

• Experiences in configuration management and continuous integration and automated build tools.

• Should have solid understanding of virtualization technologies, preferably VMWare.

• Should have solid understanding of Unix/Solaris and Windows O/S.
