I do actually! I have 4 openings that need the below listed skill set. These are long term contracts! We have had some people billing out there for 3 years.

 

Position Title: Programmer II

Location: Irving, Texas

Length: Long term contract - could be up to two years


Position Summary -
The position is responsible for daily production support of applications.

These applications consist of one of the following functional areas: Operations, Order-to-Cash, Inland & Compliance or Finance/Sales & Marketing.

Developer will be responsible for finding bugs, fixing and deploying the solution. This position will split their time working on project work, which may be smaller enhancements or longer term projects.

The developer position will be tasked with maintaining coding methodology and structure. Communication with peer, supervisors and business personnel is required. They will report directly to a Consulting Analyst or Systems Analyst.

Major Accountabilities – These are the major areas (not limited to) of responsibility for the noted position. Responsibilities may change depending on the specific position needed as well as change at any time.

General Bug Fixes – One of the Programmer II's main role will be to resolve issues that arise during normal business use. This will require troubleshooting skills, ability to navigate multiple platforms at one time as well as providing feedback to the manager. Bugs are reported in a in-house error reporting management tool.
Minor Enhancements – In addition to general bug fixes there will be minor enhancements that are required for implementation. These changes will generally take two days or less to accomplish.
Tier One Support – This includes issue acknowledgement, defining problem being experienced by users and communication to appropriate parties of the situation. There also may be a need for documentation depending on the issue. Off-Hours support will be required.
Mentoring – The Programmer II postion will require mentoring to other developers in technical and business processes. This may include code reviews and general architecture control.

Skills / Abilities – These are the requirements for the position of Programmer II. Amount of total experience required for this position (not including any schooling) is 1yr – 5yrs.

Technical This position will require the candidate to have working knowledge / experience in 2 or more of the following technologies listed in order of importance

1. Web Development: ASP.NET (2002,2003,2005) or classic ASP (3.0) / VBScript
2. SQL Server: T-SQL, stored procedure optimization, database design
3. Component Development: VB.NET, C#, or VB 6.0 / COM+
4. Rich Client-Side Web Development (AJAX): JavaScript, CSS 40%

Problem Solving
Ability to isolate components of a problem, interpret implication, identify multiple solutions. Strong analytical thinking skills are required.
Interpersonal
Ability to develop good rapport with both internal and external
Customers. Good communication is a must.
Vision Proficient knowledge of the application they support and the ability to see the big picture of vertical application area they support.
Planning & Organizing Sets priorities, develops course of action to achieve objectives. Ability to complete tasks on time as well as tasks derived from ambiguous business requirements. Create tasks that can be assigned to other developers.
