Position: Salesforce scrum master and business analyst

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Summary

We are a team of developers, QA experts, and product owner looking for someone to help us get better at what we do. We are pretty good at the basics of agile scrum software development but can always use new ideas about how and where to improve.

You are someone who leads by example rather than by dictate and you know how to bring out the best in people. You're not afraid to deal with conflicts, know when it's good to say "No" and when to push for more results.

Responsibilities

·         Act as scrum master for 1-2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.

·         Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos

·         Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed

·         Ensure cross-team coordination

·         Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal

·         Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing

·         Act as a project manager when necessary. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between our team and third parties or between our team and other scrum teams.

·         Actively contribute to the company's scrum agile competence. Keep the rest of the company network aware of our activities.

·         Act as the hands-on business analyst for one Salesforce scrum team; collaborate with product owner, developers, and system integration specialists to provide leadership in all areas of system analysis, design, development, test and deployment

·         Proactively partner with product owners and subject matter experts to provide guidance and recommend scalable solutions to global business requirements while maintaining a cohesive systems strategy

·         Translate business requirements into Salesforce user stories while keeping customization to a bare minimum

·         Create and maintain just-enough functional documents to support QA, training, and future technical reference.

·         Collaborate with other business analysts across various teams to ensure successful integration of Salesforce across multiple platforms

·         Participate in hands-on testing.

·         Provide status updates to senior management and IT Program Management Office on a regular basis

Qualifications

·         Previous 4+ years of relevant functional experience with Salesforce 

·         Previous 10+ years of relevant IT experience including strong agile scrum and business analysis skills with the ability to prioritize, estimate resource load, and proactively manage IT customer expectations.

·         At least 3 years of experience working in an agile scrum environment, preferably in a variety of situations

·         Must have an ability to work in a matrix environment and an ability to work within the Shared Services framework.

·         Must have a solid understanding and knowledge of Sales, Channel Sales, and Marketing business processes.

·         Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

·         Must have the ability to interface and work with varying levels of the organization, from users to management, in a highly interactive culture.

·         Must be a self-starter, show initiative and the ability to manage his/her workload prioritization.

·         Must be willing to help the overall team with his/her skillsets.

·         Knowledge of the software development life cycle

·         Certified scrum master/scrum practitioner

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business or Information Management.
