Title:                      Tivoli Consultant (1)

Overview:

This person will be responsible for supporting a Tivoli Monitoring environment.  The clients  Tivoli environment consists of ITM 6.2, OmniBus 7.3, Network Manager 3.8 and Web-based Enhancements.  We have Tivoli deployed on IBM AIX 5.x - 6.x as well as on Windows servers (2000 – 2008).  Current project work includes porting monitoring for Exchange from 2007 to 2010.  Operational work includes day to day administration and support of IBM's Tivoli Monitoring, OmniBus, Network Manager and License Metric Tool  

 

Requirements:

1.       Must have 3-5 yrs of IBM Tivoli Monitoring experience inclusive of :    

a.        Reviewing the existing monitoring infrastructure (ITM V6.2, OMNIbus V7.3, and ITNM V3.8) and verifying it is performing properly

b.       Resolving problems with the IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2, OMNIbus V7.3, and Network Manager V3.8 software

c.        Administering and supporting IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2, OMNIbus V7.3, and Network Manager V3.8 software.

d.       Configuring the IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2, OMNIbus V7.3, and Network Manager V3.8 software

2.       Recommending changes to the monitoring infrastructure

a.        Providing guidance in porting monitoring from Microsoft Exchange 2007 to 2010

b.       Documenting a summary of the engagement including findings, recommendations, and changes.

3.       Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

4.       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

5.       Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
