Skills Required and Job Description:

Requirements: This position requires strong analytical and architectural skills capable of generating solutions to business problems.   Must be comfortable and experienced with requirements gathering and understand database design using MS SQL Server 2000/2005.   Experience with and knowledge of Cognos reporting, including Cognos Framework Manager, Reporting Studio and Query Studio. Ability to implement Cognos reports solutions in Windows as well as web environment. Candidate(s) must have experience with creating DTS/SSIS packages for relational databases, writing complex stored procedures, views, triggers and user defined functions.  This position needs an individual with a strong understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server 2005.  Must be able to prepare scripts for stress testing and perform load balancing analysis for high concurrent reporting usage. Must be able to gather requirements from client and create specifications for the development team.  Experience in performing regression testing and excellent documentation and verbal communication skills are required. Key Knowledge and Experience: •Business Objects XI Enterprise Server •Cognos Framework Manager 8.3, Cognos Report Studio, Cognos Query Studio •.NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 with ASP.NET 3.0 •Minimum four years of information systems experience •Experience with Microsoft Project and MS Visio •Experience with DHTML, VB Script, and java script •Experience with Visual Source Safe •Experience with reading, authoring and editing XML documents •Excellent analytical skills
