Position Title: WebDesigner - JAVA

Project Location: Westlake, TX

Contract Duration: 4 Months

Mandatory Technical/Functional Skills:

• 5+ years of directly related experience
• Must be able to troubleshoot and correct database problems and to proactively maintain the health of database systems.
• Database subject matter expert with expertise deep expertise in a MySQL
• Design and architect database systems for database systems as large as 500GB.
• Intermediate level skills and experience managing Oracle 11g databases a plus.

General Responsibilities:

• Create backup/recover utilities according to defined standards. Codes and implements stored procedures and scripts for system maintenance.
• At the higher levels, interface with the appropriate groups to ensure that database systems meet business requirements.
• Design and architect database systems for database systems as large as 500GB.
• Research and recommend new technologies.
• Apply standards and strategies for security, database objects, and systems maintenance.
• Oversee all aspects of database activities to insure database availability and performance In conjunction with Project Management, installing, upgrading and configuring complex database management system software that has broad business impact.

Education Level Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
