Job Location:      Philadelphia PA

JOB SUMMARY:

 

This contract position will provide advanced administration and technical support for a

centralized, remotely managed, Microsoft-based environment architected to support mission

critical email and collaboration services for 20,000 users.  The environment will support an

integrated desktop collaboration suite including Outlook, Lync and third-party social networking

capabilities, and be architected to support 99.9% availability from a customer perspective on a

24x7 basis, with no single points of failure and automatic failover.  It will also encompass major

integration points such as SharePoint 2010, Office 2010, Active Directory, and BlackBerry

Enterprise Server.   Administration and support skills must address both the Outlook client and

back-end infrastructure.  Primary responsibilities for the position include refining technical

requirements, serving as a consultant in design sessions, building the new Exchange infrastructure,

interfacing with multiple service providers throughout the organization, and effecting knowledge

transfer with existing staff.

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education

•Bachelor's degree in computer science or related major, or a strong combination of education,

training and experience that demonstrates required skills and capabilities.

•Advanced degree preferred

•Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 or 2010

required

 

Required skills:

•Minimum 5-6 yrs of deep Microsoft administrati on and troubleshooting experience with

Exchange 2007/2010

•Extensive knowledge of ctive Directory and Exchange 2007/2010 integration and a thorough

understanding of issues related to implementing Active Directory and Exchange on large,

distributed networks

•Experience deploying and managing highly available Exchange infrastructures (D G, Network

Load Balancing, powershell)

•Minimum 4-5 yrs experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, SQL Server 2005/2008, and IIS

•Familiar with related technologies to support Exchange backup/recovery, monitoring, mobile

messaging, archiving, etc.

•Experience with Microsoft SCOM

•Demonstrated, exceptional communication and presentation skills

•Superior system documentation skills

•Strong project management experience specifically managing and completing concurrent

projects

•Occasional travel within continental US

 

 

Preferred skills:

•Experience with Microsoft D RMS

•Experience with large migrations from Lotus Notes to Exchange

•Experience working with third party migration tools such as Quest

•Familiar with integrating amd administering Outlook/Exchange/SharePoint with third party

social networking solutions

•Familiar with CommVault backup solutions, BMC Patrol monitoring

•Experience with Microsoft Unified Communications integration with vaya or other telephony
