We are looking for Project Manager (Infrastructure) – Multiple Locations – Cary, NC and Savannah, GA –  6 – 12 Months Contract Position.

Job Description:

The Project Manager - Infrastructure is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency and aligned with company strategy, commitments and goals.

 

The resource will not be focusing on one specific project, but multiple projects at once. PM's can be expected to work on 4-6 projects at a time

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Manages IT Infrastructure project on time, budget and according to approved scope.

·         Strong background as an Infrastructure PM (7+ years as PM)

·         Creates and executes project work plans and change orders. Revises and maintains plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

·         Develops comprehensive scope documents, gains approval of project sponsor(s) and implements plans.

·         Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Works with IT resource management to commit resources.

·         Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope to completion.

·         Conducts the work breakdown session (WBS) to define tasks, order, dependencies and level of effort estimates. Compiles and develops the project plan

·         Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

·         Facilitates and ensures effective project team communication and status reporting.

·         Keeps project sponsor and stakeholders informed and escalates project issues in a timely fashion.

·         Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

·         Ensures project satisfaction surveys are conducted and relays results to team for resolution of issues.

·         Tracks and ensure time reporting is accurate.

·         Manages project budget.

 

Required Skills:

·         Knowledge of Project Management best practices (PMI PMBOK). Knowledge of ITIL Business Service Management Best Practice Framework a plus.

·         Expertise in Microsoft Project for task and resource management.

·         Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

·         Customer service orientation.

·         Strong organizational and time management skills.

·         Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize, coordinate and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

·         Proven project leadership skills.

·         Ability to present ideas and solutions and achieve consensus.

·         Highly self-motivated and directed.

·         Keen attention to detail.

·         Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
