LOCATION : NEW YORK, NY

DURATION : 6+ MONTHS

 

Description :

·         The Blackberry Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, migration, and implementation of MS Office Communication Server (OCS) and Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) migration of users to server(s). 

·         Provide second level Office Communication and Blackberry expertise to the Enterprise helpdesk; provide second level instant messaging and conferencing tools configuration to the Enterprise helpdesk. 

·         Migrate user accounts, monitor security and support user authentication. 

·         Through coordination with internal units, configure and tailor facilities/capacity/storage devices. 

·         Develop system documentation for selected employees from internal units. 

·         The expansion of the number of agencies requiring centralized e-mail services will generate a volume of work that will require an increase in engineering staff.

- Application upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3 upgrade
- Excellent knowledge and experience in R12
- Resolving performance issues in during Apps upgrade
- Good knowledge how to perform/reduce down time for Apps upgrade
- RMAN backup and recovery.

SR. UNIX/LINUX ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION : SUNNYVALE, CA

DURATION : 6+ MONTHS

Interview : Face to face (Need Local, If candidate is non local then we can reimburse the air fare for face to face interview), 1st round will be telephonic interview.

 

Job responsibilities:

·         Administer complex Unix-based systems in a multi-tiered architecture, generally from the operating system or application level and up.

·         Assist with debugging of issues in both the production environment as well as the staging environment

·         Work closely with the Dev/QA team on new projects/requirements to ensure changes are sound and maintainable in production

·         Be part of Mobile SE team helping with production launches as well as code pushes

·         Take on-call rotations

·         Be able to communicate issues and resolutions to a wide audience

·         Ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely fashion, and work to ensure that they only happen once

·         Operate in a team spread out across the globe

 

Job Qualifications:

 

Preference for and experience working with Unix-based servers and open source software; Client uses FreeBSD, LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP, Nagios and MySQL) and the ideal candidate should be comfortable with all of these technologies.

·         Ability to debug issues on a Unix environment in a multi-tiered architecture

·         Understanding of common internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, etc...) and ways to troubleshoot these

·         Understanding of common network technologies (Akamai, VIPsGSLB, etc...)

·         Understanding of redundancy and reliability and ways to achieve these

·         Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously with multiple requirements

·         Thorough understanding of the software development life-cycle

·         Good documentation and communication skills

·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently and meet deadlines

·         Attention to details

·         Desire to work as a part of a team; strong interpersonal skills relating to cooperation and collaboration

·         Drive to take on responsibilities and do whatever it takes to get the job done (and then organize things to make your life easier)

·         Extensive Linux system administration background

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, including application and network-level troubleshooting ability

·         Strong programming skills in one or more of: C, Perl, Python, Ruby

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Experience working with development teams

·         5+ years experience with Linux (RHEL a plus)

·         5+ years experience administering large-scale UNIX installations (ISP background a plus)

·         Experience with SQL and commonly deployed database systems

·         Degree in Computer Science
