Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include development and unit testing JAVA, JMS, and PL/SQL applications including performance enhancements, fixing defects, adding new functionality, and refactoring code for easy maintenance. Expectation is that candidate can work on his own given some high level requirements and high level understanding of the exiting application. • Create, modify, and test JAVA & JMS applications to support business needs. • Create, modify, and test PL/SQL code based on specifications and business requirements. • Analyze existing JAVA and JMS applications and re-factor code for easier future maintenance • Unit test and assist with system /integration testing • Analyze program defects and make corrections • Participate in design and code reviews with peers • Complete required documentation as defined in the FedEx Global Development Process • Provide weekly status and time reporting utilizing defined project management tools • Excellent communication skills Work related skills: JAVA / JMS Spring Framework XML Oracle 10g PL/SQL Eclipse Subversion Maven WebLogic
