Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Designs and transforms user requirements into an application program for a data processing system • Works on highly complex projects and provides technical direction. Participates in the total design of major software systems • May write/modify business/technical or design specifications/documentation Skills and Competencies: • Strong problem solving skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus interpersonal skills must be above average. Must be able to work independently and manage on time effectively and according to scheduled milestones. Must demonstrate positively focused teamwork at all times. Knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models • Knowledge of computer software such as Eclipse IDE, Java Server Faces, Java, J2EE, EJB, XML, Back end server side development, EJBs, WebLogic, Oracle and SQL, JMS, OO design and development, Linux/Unix platform development, Unix Shell Scripting (ksh)
