ROLE: WebSphere Portal Consultant

LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA

DURATION: 18 Months

Required skills

The candidate will have skills and at least 4 years recent experience on IBM Websphere
Portal.
Recent enterprise level project experience on IBM Websphere Portal to be able to bring value to our effort of creating an Enterprise Internet/Intranet (Prefer 6.x or higher).
Recent skills/experience and in-depth knowledge of Java portlets (JSR 168 / JSR 286)
Experience with Portal API and Portlet API
Recent skills/experience and in-depth knowledge of IBM Web Content Management (WCM) to be able to independently add/manage content, as well as understand performance and security issues
Includes WCM development (site areas, presentation/authoring templates, etc) and JSR 286 Portlet development.
In-depth knowledge of XSLT, Portlet API, HTML, CSS to be able to perform without assistance
Exposure to Portal Administration, LDAP, Domino, RDBMS, Web/HTTP
Proficient in the use of software development tools (IBM Rational Application Developer, Clear Case, Clear Quest) and techniques in software projects
Excellent communication ability to be able to communicate with customers to work on functional and technical requirements, and with team members and management as needed
Ability to independently research and solve technical issues
Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to follow and support client's standards for design, development, implementation and documentation.
Able to perform independently and give direction to others
Self starter in developing new technical skills
Able to demonstrate strong technical growth
