ROLE: WebSphere Portal Consultant

LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA

DURATION:  18 Months

 

Required skills

• The candidate will have skills and at least 4 years recent experience on IBM Websphere
• Portal.  
• Recent enterprise level project experience on IBM Websphere Portal to be able to bring value to our effort of creating an Enterprise Internet/Intranet (Prefer 6.x or higher).
• Recent skills/experience and in-depth knowledge of Java portlets (JSR 168 / JSR 286)
• Experience with Portal API and Portlet API
• Recent skills/experience and in-depth knowledge of IBM Web Content Management (WCM) to be able to independently add/manage content, as well as understand performance and security issues
• Includes WCM development (site areas, presentation/authoring templates, etc) and JSR 286 Portlet development. 
• In-depth knowledge of XSLT, Portlet API, HTML, CSS to be able to perform without assistance
• Exposure to Portal Administration, LDAP, Domino, RDBMS, Web/HTTP
• Proficient in the use of software development tools (IBM Rational Application Developer, Clear Case, Clear Quest) and techniques in software projects
• Excellent communication ability to be able to communicate with customers to work on functional and technical requirements, and with team members and management as needed
• Ability to independently research and solve technical issues
• Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow and support client's standards for design, development, implementation and documentation.
• Able to perform independently and give direction to others
• Self starter in developing new technical skills
• Able to demonstrate strong technical growth
