We have a position for a PHP developer with our direct client a media company in NYC. Our client has a PHP/MongoDB/Redis project that we're actively working towards and need additional resources for a3 month period with possible extension to give our team some more muscle. Requirements are primarily that the resource must have strong PHP 5.2+ OO development background ideally with experience in MongoDB or Redis. Developer should be well versed in CSS3, HTML5 and Javascript. Client is operating very in a very agile manner.
Position: PHP Developer
Rate : $60 per hour
Location: NYC
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Object Oriented experience with PHP 5.3 – Must Have Skills PHP 5.2 or higher
- Strong HTML, HTML5, andCSS knowledge
- Extensive experience with Lithium or CakePHP or other MVC frameworks
- Understanding of intranets and private web services platforms
- Excellent JavaScript experience (JQuery experience is a big plus)
- Proficiency in coding to web standards/best practices
- Solid knowledge of front-end related technologies
- Comfort with collective code ownership
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent
- Nice to Have – Mongo/Redis DB
Also important:
- Experience in an agile environment (XP or Scrum)
- Experience writing units test and practicing Test Driven Development
- Experience with GIT/Mercurial
- Creative thinker who is passionate about technology
- Good communication skills
