Position: Senior JAVA Front End Developer

Location: Princeton, NJ

Duration: 6 months+ contract

 

We need the candidate to be very strong in JQuery coding, which has JavaScript, and HTML. The next important skill is XML Document manipulation, and next Ajax. Core Java skills are not that important.

 

They are open to starting with a Skype/Live Meeting interviews to interview candidates.  A next day in-person interview and hiring decision will be made. 

 

 

Job Description:

 

The candidate filling the Senior Front end  UI/Client side  Developer position will be responsible for working with the Technical Leads and Application Architect in the high level systems design/ architecture and full-scale development of the NeXT system.  The candidate must poses strong Jquery/Javascript and client side skills, will perform in a client-side developer role or may also work on server side, and will also be responsible for writing technical specifications. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong core Java and client server integration skills, with experience in HTML, AJAX, JQUERY, JAVASCRIPT and XML.  The candidate is expected to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for: 

·        Participating in design/architecture meetings.

·        Applying industry standard analysis, architecture, and development techniques, including Use Cases where appropriate, to assist in providing optimum solutions.

·        NeXT Development Efforts – design, coding, testing, debugging, quality assurance review, and appropriate documentation.

·        Demonstrating strong problem solving ability, logic, and analytical skills.

·        Interacting with other areas within ETS for providing automated interface points via web services and other technologies.

·        Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.

·        Maintaining team spirit and a positive attitude.

·        Performing comprehensive preliminary testing and producing all entrance criteria documentation required to promote products under development to Software Test (SQA).

 

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

The ideal candidate must have at least 7 years of progressively diverse analysis, development, and testing experience using Web and XML technologies. The person must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above.  The candidates must have significant experience with technologies listed below.

·        Extensive experience with client side JavaScript experience is required.

·        Strong Experience in HTML, JQUERY and JAVASCRIPT programming, AJAX is mandatory.

·        Strong Experience with XML is required and XSLT is preferable.

·        Experience developing applications using multiple programming/scripting languages.

·        Experience in cross browser development.

·        Experience with HTML5 is a plus.

·        Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.

·        Experience working closely with business analysts and product owners in an iterative development environment.

·        Platform Tools:  Jboss Application Server, Oracle, Eclipse

·        Languages:   Javascript, JQuery

·        Operating Systems:  Windows, UNIX/Linux
