Job Description

Requirements:

Partners with different IT System teams and assigned business line to assess research, analyze and document business and systems requirements.
Provide project planning, co-ordination and communication for ETL deliverables.

Context is small to large development, maintenance and/or Infrastructure projects.

Process Knowledge
• Requirements Elicitation and Documentation : interviewing, information gathering, Traceability, Non functional
• Requirement analysis: Data Modeling
• SDLC (including Waterfall, Iterative and Agile) and PMLC
• Project Management Skills
• Communication Skills
• Facilitation Skills
• Presentation Skills
• Conflicts and issues resolution and escalation

Systems Knowledge
• Ab Initio or any other ETL Tools
• ETL Infrastructure
• Capital Market Front office and back office systems
• IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements

Key Accountabilities:

Business Analysis & Consulting
• Define, document and translate business requirements into detailed function and non functional specifications, including data mapping logic and requirement for file transfer between interfaces.
• Own the accuracy; completeness and readability of ETL Specifications to minimize back and forth between project and development teams.
• Leads detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues.
• Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution
• Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering sessions (e.g. JAD).
• Become subject matter expertise in the standard file transfer options and recommends ETL solutions with input from ETL Technology Managers.
• Build knowledge in source and target systems.

Testing
• Develop or participate in development of test scripts ensuring adherence to agreed upon business requirements and participate in the testing when required.
• Coordinate end to end functional testing.
• Support business stakeholders during UAT /QA and work with development team to resolve defects.

Project Coordination
• Contribute to/Lead the development of project plans and estimation of scope
• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMF)
• Responsible for providing Project Management/BA best practices for ETL projects including completion of PMF documents to track project budgets and schedule, issues, risks and change management.
• Provide clear and timely communication to all project stakeholders regarding to project status, milestones, issues & risks.
• Contributes to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies

Relationships & Communication
• Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and other system partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
• Resolves conflicts/issues of medium complexity and escalates others as appropriate.
• Indentify and satisfy the real, underlying needs of partners in a way that foster long term relationship.

Development & Teamwork
• Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.
• Participate and support transformational and/or practice/process improvements to increase the overall quality and efficiency of the ETL team.
• Participate in knowledge transfer within the team, and business units.
• Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving project/business objectives and providing client services
