Position: Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA

Duration: 6 Months

Interview process:

1.    Submit resume

2.    Take test (takes 2-3 hours to complete)

3.    If they do well, phone interview (or in-person)

4.    After phone interview, in-person interview required.

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is part of a tightly integrated, hands-on quality team developing testing framework and structure to support real-time, multithreaded broadcast video applications.

 

In this role, the Software QA Engineer works closely with the development team and provides technical leadership in testing to ensure the release of the highest quality products, including developing, maintaining, and implementing test strategies, plans, procedures, and cases. In addition, the Software QA Engineer drives the full software project lifecycle of each software project from gathering requirements to post implementation review and continually introduces improvements to streamline QA and development of processes and procedures.

To qualify, interested candidates must possess: 

3-5 years of team-based software quality assurance and software testing experience in Java web technologies. 

Good understanding of any scripting language for automation. 

Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies 

Experience with Linux OS 

Experience with White Box testing 

Stellar organization, detail orientation, written and verbal communication skills, and problem solving and diagnostic abilities 

Superior project management and analytical skills 

Successful track record of driving successful software product integrations and facilitating teams to achieve quality solutions 

Willingness to work a flexible schedule in a team-based environment 

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar field of studies 

 

 

Managers note: 

Experience testing Web Applications 

Experienced Black box tester 

Working knowledge of JBoss, Xml, Webservices 

Working knowledge of Unix

 

Preferred but not necessary
