Position: Oracle Apps DBA
Location: San Ramon CA
Duration: Longterm
Rate: $50/Hr on CTC

Qualifications:

• Oracle 11g Certified.
• 5+ years of relevant Oracle database administration experience handling 4- 70+ TB databases.
• Experience in using OEM, Grid Control or other related monitoring tool.
• Experience in database design, Application Development, SQL tuning, and performance analysis of large databases.
• Candidates must have good understanding of Join methods, data access path, and trace gathering.
• Experience in backup and recovery design using Netbackup with large databases.
• Experience with Linux (OEL, Redhat and SUSE) and Unix AIX.
• Demonstrated skills working with Application Servers (ATG Dynamo, Websphere or Weblogic preferred).
• Experience with ETL Solutions (Datastage, Informatica) and BI Tools (MicroStrategy preferred) is a must.
• Must be able to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (at any layer) on the server supporting the database including identifying SQL performance issues.
• Must be able to install and configure Oracle Databases using RAC and other tools and utilities (DataGuard, Grid Control and Oracle Streams).
• 3+ years experience with direct development support. Must be able to write and run code using SQL or PL/SQL.
• Demonstrated use of Unix scripting language, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Views.
• Experience with a second DBMS (especially UDB) is highly desirable.
