Looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a small project team developing   financials applications. The applications are built using Ruby on Rails and Flex platforms.

Experience building n-tier Internet applications in Ruby on Rails preferred, although experience in Java, Smalltalk, Objective-C or other OO languages utilizing an MVC pattern in conjunction with an ORM such as Hibernate and with an interest in building Rails applications is still desirable.

Experience and knowledge in building business management applications.

Experience with RSpec or other behavioral/test driven design tools.

Experience with SQL based relational databases, schema design and implementation.

Experience with XML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX/JSON, HTTP, and Web Services.

Experience with Adobe Flex and a demonstrated understanding of event models.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or prior work experience that is applicable to the position.  The ideal profile includes 3-5 or more years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer. 

Experience working in both Unix/Linux environments and Windows.

Experience interacting effectively with other team members, management and clients.

Must have excellent verbal/written communications skills, as there is a high degree of interaction.

Works collaboratively as part of the team with product managers, software engineers and architects, in an agile environment

continually keeps up to date with best practices and newest developments in the Rails and Flex worlds by learning from web resources and from other team members.
