Job Description:
- Payments and Infrastructure Quality team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer with expertise in automation, API testing and ability to analyze design. In Software Quality Engineer role, we expect following responsibilities -
- Work as an individual contributor with support from lead
-
Hands on in analyzing product development design and articulate expected testing approach
-
Produces test that provide sufficient test coverage for areas of responsibility
-
Interfaces with other functional teams on aspects of the feature or sub-system
-
Frequently interfaces with QA and Dev team members
-
Write data-driven, white box/API test automation
-
Maintain and create new automated test cases using C++/Java/Python/Perl/Shell
-
Be proactive to learn any new technology relevant to assigned task
Requirements
- BS in EE/CS with minimum of 2 years (or MS) experience in fast-paced software industry with an understanding of QA methodologies.

Must have programming experience in Java, C++, Perl or Python

Strong understanding of database concepts
-
Must be an expert in UNIX and SQL
-
Ability to come up with test scenarios and write test plans and test cases
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong team player
-
Working knowledge of front-end and back-end applications
-
Ability to document and track defects, as well as produce detailed reports using defect tracking tools
-
Familiarity with software development lifecycles
-
Solid knowledge of web applications
