Oracle APEX DBA/Developer

We are looking for an experienced Oracle APEX DBA/Developer. This is a six month contractor position with possibility of extension. This is NOT a DBA position.  However, APEX developers with DBA background are welcome to apply.

Oracle APEX DBA/Developer responsibilities include the following:

 

Support Application Development Requests to enhance existing application - Work with DBA advisor and DBAs to support full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications - Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications - Create and maintain documentation related to development projects including business requirements, test plans and user manuals.

 

Enterprise Support - Work with the development team to help analyze the existing infrastructure and contribute to long term strategic planning - Communicate effectively with WDBS community to provide technical support.

 

Support WDBS Development Team - Work with WDBS Sr. developers to share knowledge, resolve issues and support WDBS team - Serve as a technical resource to less experienced developers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

At least seven years of experience as an Oracle Developer.

Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good Knowledge of relational database design concepts .

 

Experience with Oracle 11g including:

Oracle database objects - tables, indexes, directories, sequences, triggers.

Familiarity with built-in PLSQL packages and procedures.

Use of Java inside Oracle.

Extensive use of Large Objects (LOBs) in Oracle.

Experience with Oracle development tools including: Advanced use of Oracle Application Express 4.0 and above.

Experience with Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer.

Familiarity with Oracle reporting packages including Oracle Reports, Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Discoverer.

 

Experience designing and manipulating web content dynamically using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
