Job description and skills .
The standard technical requirements for engineers working for this service include IIS Administration, SQL Administration, Basic SharePoint, Windows Administration, Active Directory, PowerShell, networking, and hardware troubleshooting. Candidate with Basic SharePoint knowledge would be preferred .
Deliverables | Skill Set |
Ø Incident Response and Investigation • Triaging escalations/incidents daily • Troubleshooting and resolving telemetry generated and customer escalations • Monitoring/triaging operational service issues via SCOM alerting • Coordinating with team members (in/out of shift) to manage daily workload • Gathering escalation information and determining customer/business impact • Communicating and summarizing high severity incidents/escalations • Participating in post mortems for high severity incidents/escalations • Excellent documentation in bug tracking system • Meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Service Level Objectives (SLO) • Report workload and project status weekly Ø Hardware troubleshooting Ø Continual Service Improvement • Service Intelligence via daily/weekly/monthly status reports • Weekly workload reports, hours by task type • Service trending and analysis • Participating in Quality of Service initiatives Ø Creating and defining operability requests
| • Experience in supporting large-scale operations in a 24x7 production environment • Sharepoint experience, preferably in large hosted environments • Windows 2003/2008 server administration experience required • SCOM experience preferred • IIS experience preferred • SQL Experience a plus • Must be able to ramp up quickly in fast-paced environment • Must be an independent, self-motivated worker • Experience in technical support, customer service, or related field a plus • Strong communication and documentation skills • Excellent problem resolution, object-oriented thinking, and good decision making skills • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, and strong troubleshooting skills required • MCSE/MCDBA certification or higher a plus, but not required • Candidates must be able to meet customer security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every 2 years thereafter |
