BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for evaluating requirements for testing new or modified products and documentation prior to production release; designing, developing, creating, REGRESSION test plans and cases based on software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture; executing various system, performance, integration, and ad-hoc tests according to approved test plans and testing schedule; troubleshooting, in conjunction with end users and development teams, on issues of reproducing, investigating and debugging software; generating defect reports for issues found during testing, and providing accurate testing status to project stakeholders; focusing on project quality issues, but also makes contributions beyond immediate assignments; possessing broad overall knowledge of business applications; working independently; managing multiple testing projects concurrently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor in Technology or Business Administration with 3 year of testing experience.
Experience with QTP, Quality Center and Clear Quest.
Clear and concise verbal, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in teams.
Analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with initiative and accountability.
Knowledge of testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience with automated testing tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Evaluate and test new or modified software products and validate documentation prior to release and developing regression test cases for National Account.
2. Prepare, design, and execute regression test plans and cases (of moderate to high complexity) based on customer and software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture to attain quality software both economically and efficiently, including both new and existing feature regression tests.
3. Ensure traceability of regression test cases to requirements.
4. Verify accuracy of regression test results and documents results.
5. Document defects in defect tracking system.
6. Perform re-tests to verify resolution of defects.
7. Reproduce, investigate, and debug software issues.
8. Develop and maintain project test deliverables in adherence to client-defined methodology.
9. Communicate updates to project team, project leads, supervisors, and managers as required.
10. Create and/or contribute to the development of System Test and Overall Test and Review plans.
11. Contribute to and/or review all project deliverables.
12. Perform and participate in peer, informal, and formal reviews of testing artifacts, requirements, specifications, and other project artifacts, as requested.
13. Interface with project stakeholders to ensure project quality and customer satisfaction.
14. Leverage existing knowledge of business application architecture in project work.
15. Identify and document plans for identifying the project's testing activities and approach.
16. Create, maintain, and execute automated scripts of moderate complexity.
17. Participate in design reviews and other phases of development lifecycle to gather information necessary to create clear, concise, and reusable test cases.
18. Provide work estimates, in terms of time, and resources.
19. Manage regression test activities, involving multiple team members, for projects of moderate to high complexity.
20. Participate in discussions and initiatives in process improvement for the group.
21. Requirements and project artifacts are completed in accordance with SDM methodologies.
22. May mentor teammates.
23. May provide informal training session to staff.

Role: Load and Performance Tester
Location : Chicago, IL

MUST have SOLID Performance Center/LoadRunner skills
1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with 4 years of testing and/or programming experience OR 6 years of testing and/or programming experience
2. 5+ years of experience creating & executing L&P tests & creating custom functions as needed
3. Experience in a leadership role of an Engineering group, development group or project team with sound decision-making skills
4. Strong knowledge of MS Windows and UNIX.
5. Database testing knowledge, especially Microsoft SQLServer and ORACLE
6. SOLID COMMUNICATION SKILLS
7. Plan, create, maintain and review Load and Performance tests
8. Ability to analyze system monitoring reports from remote servers (DB servers, Application servers, and web servers)
9. Solid understanding of networking, architecture, and protocols
10. Analyze output generated from automated tests (including Performance and Load Testing)
11. Monitor testing tools' backend systems performance metrics to ensure optimization.\
12. Provide technical support to help resolve testing customers' product-related problems/issues.
13. Serve as a technical expert resolving critical and complex issues.
14. Provide technical direction and expertise to testing groups and/or departments.
15. Find solutions and initiate testing changes proactively in a proactive manner.
16. Organize testing projects and guide the direction of multiple-person projects.

Test Automation Engineer - MUST HAVE HP QuickTest Pro
This position will support Test Automation activities for Client's software applications. It will create acceptable quality automated tests to eliminate repeated manual testing and maintenance of regression test beds. This position would also increase technical direction and skills of the system testing team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Build, customize and configure tools for Automation and manual testing using SQL and VB Scripts.
*Execute and test functional scenarios, perform integration, regression, function and smoke tests.
*Work with BA, QA, and Development teams to triage defects and determine root cause analysis.
*Provide design documentation and participate in technical reviews for test automation.
*Organize test cases and associated automation in HP Quality Center and Quick Test Pro.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*5+ year's experience of test automation (from analysis, development of automation framework, to implementation of framework)
*3+ year's experience with HP QuickTest Professional (QTP v9.0 and higher) and QTP Extensibility Accelerator
*3+ years in software development using any of the following technologies/languages: VB Script; C/C++; Java; Python; Basic Script; Java Script; Microsoft .NET
*Database testing knowledge, especially Sybase, Microsoft SQLServer and ORACLE
*Ability to apply engineering approaches to solving problems and ability to utilize research methods, problem solving and resolution skills
*Clear and concise verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work in teams
