Position : Sr Java Developers
Location : Wilmington, DE.
Duration : 3+ Months

Job Summary:
The Senior Java Developers must be self-directed, heads-up Java Developers who are able to contribute immediately. This position requires candidates to expand on loosely defined business requirements to insure proper technical solutions are designed and implemented. The successful applicants will have broad responsibilities for designing, building and implementing large scale software development projects. Position requires strong Java technical skills and technical leadership. In-depth programming and interpersonal skills will allow the applicant to play a major part in guiding projects from requirements analysis to deployment.
Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Several years experience building high-availability Java applications that interact with multiple systems.
In-depth knowledge of web presentation methods (HTML, XSL, etc.).
Experience with software development on commercial or enterprise projects.
Experience with multi-tier system design and implementation.
Proven ability to work independently and part of a team to successful implement projects.
Technical skills and abilities:
In-depth knowledge of Java including JUNIT, ANT.
In-depth knowledge of XML including XSLT and XPATH. Nice to have includes PL/SQL.
Deployment familiarity of J2EE.
Familiarity with major database vendors such as MS SQL Server and Oracle
Knowledge of enterprise application design patterns.
-Need to have Spring MVC. Use Spring for web services, JBC, etc. (Not Hibernate).
-Need to have some type of Mockit Framework and Unit Testing expertise.
-Need Oracle (Stored Procedures, etc.)
-Need Soap UI for Testing Web services
-CSS, HTML, JavaScript Libraries (they use Jquery)
-AGILE
Responsibilities:
Work with members of the project team and business owners to refine and clarify business requirements. Produce technical specifications and provide input into general architectural decisions.
Provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability. Code and test software to meet our client's standards and within acceptable defect tolerances of design specifications. Work with IT and business test groups to support quality and acceptance tests. Provide technical leadership and mentor others in general technical skills.
Properly track progress, effort, issues, resolutions and communicate status to project leadership

Tomcat or JBoss
JUnit (unit testing)

Highly Preferred:
Velocity (templating)
Ajax libraries like YUI!, prototype, or JQuery
Eclipse IDE
Maven
Mockito (unit testing mocking tools)
Axis2 or Spring WS
Apache Commons
SoapUI (webservice testing)
Extras (Nice to have):
Subversion (source control)
AntHill Pro
Emma or Cobertura (code coverage)
FitNesse (integration testing)
PMD or Checkstyle (static code analysis)
Quartz (scheduler)
Education and/or Certifications: B.S. Degree, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience.
Must have a minimum of seven to 10 plus years experience participating in complex programs.
Working Conditions:
Typically working in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting.
Work week is typically 40 hours; however, longer hours may be necessary at times.
Although most work will be conducted locally, travel to other sites may be required at times.
