Title: Essbase Developer
Location: Southboro, MA
Duration: Longterm

 

The Essbase Developer works within the IT Enterprise Reporting Group (ERG) and is responsible for all production support and maintenance activity for Essbase for our Finance business unit. Expertise with the following is needed:

 

Essbase version 11 and 6
Load rules
EIS
ASO / BSO
Calculations
Formulas
Interfaces
Shared Services
Security
Relational database (Oracle and MS SQL)
VB, VBA, Dos Scripting
Web technologies
Planning version 9
Excel
Essbase API
Very strong problem solving ability and root cause analysis skills

 

This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical and problem solving skills. Resource will be responsible for Production Support and Maintenance only.

 

The individual in this position will interact with project managers, business analysts, co-developers and business users.

 

The Essbase Developer has the following responsibilities:

 

Develop a working relationship with the appropriate business users and provide business-impact-driven analysis and communicate results to stakeholders utilizing state-of-the-art development processes and architecture
Handle root cause analysis and documentation of same
Technical design document preparation
Essbase application design and prototyping for validation of root cause analysis
Support power users
Provide support for Essbase Servers and applications
Work with cross-functional user and technical teams

 

Education Required: Bachelors Degree

 

Experience Required:
Minimum 8 years experience with Hyperion Essbase and related technologies in a large reporting environment(s)
Informatica experience a plus
