Job Description:

 

Primary Skills:

 

1.     Expert Ruby on Rails web application development experience

2.     Experienced in consumer facing, high traffic production web systems

3.     Excellent Communication

 

Secondary Skills:

 

1.     Can apply OOAD and Design Patterns to problem solving

2.     Experience with Memcached, Redis, and other key-value stores

3.     Practices TDD with a deep knowledge of testing Ruby applications

4.     Tackled clustering/caching, multi-threading and thread safety issues

5.     RDBMS experience including schema design and content modeling

6.     Javascript programming with emphasis on jquery

7.     Agile Experience

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelors Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

·         Central in the development of 3+ consumer facing, high traffic production web systems.

·         Expert Ruby on Rails web application development experience. Extensive experience with another Object Oriented language required.

·         Applies OOD and Design Patterns to software design & problem solving.

·         MVC & Persistence Framework development experience.

·         Practices TDD with a deep knowledge of testing Ruby applications.

·         Experience with Memcached, Redis, and other key-value stores.

·         Tackled clustering/caching, multi-threading and thread safety issues

·         RDBMS experience including schema design and content modeling.

·         Strong command of database modeling/design, web standards and best practices.

·         Javascript programming with emphasis on jquery.

·         Worked in a fast paced  environment with continuous integration, unit/integration/load/performance testing.
