The primary focus of the analyst activities will be supporting Debt Management System
The individual will support the following work efforts:

Requisite Experience:
· At least 5 yrs of experience at a financial institution, preferably with fixed income instruments

· Must have strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel, MS Access, Word, etc) and be able to author and package
design deliverables
· Must have experience in writing and executing ad-hoc reports from a 3rd party tool (e.g., CrystallBusiness Objects,
Cognos, MS Access)
Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Candidate must have deep understanding of various financial concepts (e.g., financial calculations, industry entities and their
roles in a bond underwriting, simple and complex financial instruments)
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate meeting discussions, broker issue resolutions, and articulate decision points
· Strong English oral and written communication skills - as necessary for the authoring of key deliverables and interaction with
senior management

Location: Buffalo, NY

Senior Java Developer should have experience building Restful services using Java.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development, documentation, and maintain multi-tenant backend services.
- Work closely with operations to build large-scale backend services.
- Write API documentation, samples and other materials to share with internal and external developers.
- Providing technical consultation and expertise to Product Managers and other Synacor staff members.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 2-5 years development experience in large-scale database-driven applications using Java.
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, databases, or performance analysis.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Riak or Cassandra.
- Experience with caching proxies like Varnish or Squid.
- Knowledge of Hadoop, pig or hive highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Solr or other search platform highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate.
