Title: Tibco Developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 6+ months contract with the right to hire
Job Description:
Local to Texas will get first preference. Face to Face interview REQUIRED after phone interview. Agency responsible for getting candidate to job / interview.
No H1s for this particular position.
Primary Assignment: Tibco Business Works, Tibco EMS and Tibco Business Connect.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Complete tasks requiring Tibco administration knowledge.
Evaluate, develop, customize, install, configure, implement and maintain key system software components, according to Customer/system requirements for Tibco Business Connect, Business Works, EMS and Business Events environments.
Assist project teams/business Customers in evaluating, developing, implementing and supporting system architecture components.
Unix Shell Scripting, Java development and maintenance of internally developed utilities.
Participate in component and system testing as it relates to hardware and operating system components.
Test and implement messaging components using techniques that preserve system integrity.
Will be required to carry / respond promptly to an on-call pager on a rotating basis with other System Engineers.
Troubleshoot, resolve and provide root cause analysis to technical issues.
Required Technical Skills
Minimum 5-7 years of experience designing, implementing and supporting Tibco Business Works and Business Connect environments.
Demonstrated experience configuring and supporting Tibco Hawk, RVD and Rendezvous.
Demonstrated experience using shell scripting to develop environment management utilities and automation.
Demonstrated experience integrating applications including Commercial, Open Source and Internally Developed Software Solutions.
Demonstrated experience administering and troubleshooting Java processes and the JVM in a server environment, especially on Linux.
Demonstrated experience with software build and deployment practices in a Tibco Business Connect / Business Works environment.
Experience contributing in project planning, estimating, scheduling, and execution.
Experience with and demonstrated functional understanding of Tibco EMS
Required Non-Technical Skills
Minimum 7 to 10 years IT experience on multiple platforms/technologies
Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and multi-tasking capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete tasks
Ability to work well with Customers at all levels (Leadership and Non-Leadership) and proven success doing so
Ability to work well in a Team environment
Experience following a defined project implementation methodology.
Desired Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Tibco Business Events
Working knowledge of IBM MQ Series
Working knowledge of Tomcat
Working knowledge of Linux / Unix System Administration.
Working knowledge of software build and deployment practices.
Experience designing, templitizing and managing a Tibco Active Matrix System Baseline.
Desired Non-Technical Skills
Previous experience in a Fortune 500, 24X7 operational environment.
IT related college degree or equivalent experience.
Airline industry experience
