Job Description

Global Data, Operations and Shared Services (GDOS) focuses on automating and modernizing back office platforms, while implementing and leveraging cross product shared services opportunities. The GDOS group includes Capital Markets Operations Technology; Information Services Group; Citi Investment Research & Analysis, Banking, and GDOS Consulting Services. As part of a new initiative we would be developing a Dashboard/Portal and Data Warehouse to track and manage metrics automatically, over time and in many dimensions. The team is responsible for implementing new application components, integrating existing components for the dashboard/portal and pulling together data from various sources.

 

Key Requirements:

·  5+ Years of financial industry background is mandatory

·  Person should have worked with operations, financial positions, transactions, benchmarking, corporate actions data

·  Person should have worked on projects touching one or more areas of trading, accounting, back office operations and MIS

·  Strong knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity Products

·  Good knowledge of daily PNL, Product/Finance/Operations control functions

·  Experience interacting with business users and collecting the reporting requirements

·  Ability to facilitate JAD sessions, conduct interviews, develop process and data flow diagrams in Visio

·  Ability to prepare use case diagrams

·  5+ yrs of strong experience with Oracle 9i and/or 10g

·  Ability to query the database using SQL

·  Some exposure to Java and related technologies

·  Some exposure to JRules or similar BRMS

·  Advanced level knowledge of using Excel for data analysis

·  Experience reporting on dimensions and hierarchy data

·  Some knowledge of Business Objects Reporting

·  Some knowledge of Essbase cubes

·  Strong analytical skills

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Good background working with quantitative data

·  Experience  with Banking domain

 

Plus:

·  Experience with data modeling

·  Some exposure to SSAS
