Title: Business Analyst with Data warehouse/ETL experience
Duration: 6 Months

Location: Hartford, CT

Immediate Interview

Duties:   

The individual will work collaboratively with business units and technical teams to gather business requirements, develop functional specifications, and provide testing support. This position will Conduct user interviews for requirements gathering, Evaluate client needs for analyses; help define business questions; identify data needs. Write business cases and requirements. Develop specs and source to target mappings to support ETL process.

Work with architecture and technical support to design, test, enhance and maintain the warehouse. Design data views; help develop reporting data mart; provide support to reporting teams. Create, coordinate, and implement test plans. Help verify and reconcile data for accuracy and consistency. Ensure knowledge transfer to users. Provide complete and updated documentation; identify training needs. Facilitate meetings; create status reports; communicate with stakeholders and/or business users. Ensures test scripts are documented, reported and tracked in the appropriate tools (QualityCenter)

 

Skills:          

Experience in supporting the design and specification of data presentation and knowledge of reporting, analytics, and trending.

Experience in integrating data from multiple source systems is a plus. Requires knowledge and experience in data warehousing (ETL, ODS, Star Schemas, OLAP, Dimensional modeling etc.); knowledge and understanding of different data warehousing methodologies preferably Kimball. Oracle, or other relational, database experience/knowledge as well as SQL required. Business/systems analyst experience required. Demonstrated experience working with users to identify information systems and reporting needs.

Experience identifying potential solutions, designing, developing, documenting, testing, and maintaining databases/applications required.

Ability to transform a business need into a visual representation.
