Location: Jersey City, NJ or Manhattan, NY (must be able to work in both locations)

Job Profile:

 

This role will focus on several streams of work within our strategic data warehouse initative.  The Senior JAVA Developer will be part of the overall JAVA team that will focus on designing and building a real-time interface to our Data Warehouse environment as well as building out a messaging, error handling and reporting interfaces within our Securities Strategic Framework.

 

Skills Required:

 

·         Work with Messaging platform to develop a Real-Time feed to our ETL and Data Warehouse Environments.

·         Develop error handling routine, processes and programs.

·         Construct reconciliation routines with source systems and financial systems.

·         Develop real-time feeds to our front-end reporting portal

·         4-6 + years hands-on J2EE and Web Sphere development experience.

 

1.     Strong experience in real-time processing, Middleware products (MQ, JMS, Tib)

2.     Strong experience in caching techniques.

 

·         Very good understanding of Oracle or other RDBMS

·         Understands and demonstrates best practices across all control process/procedures within Financial Services IT.

·         Experience in Real-Time Data Warehouse is a huge plus.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills

·         The candidate must be self-motivated, confident and mature. Must have strong analytical problem solving skills with the aptitude to learn as well as flexibility to adapt to change.

·         Strong knowledge of Equities, Credit and Futures products and associated operations processes
